We are heartbroken to share that Braveheart's mom, Kiara, had to be euthanized after a brutal dog attack on Septmber 5, 2009. For more on this story, go to King 5 News. Braveheart is has recovered from some from bites and tears to his skin after the attack.

Kiara was used by an Arab ranch for breeding despite her leg deformation. When not pregnant she was mobile but pregnancy was not good for her and deteriorated her leg condition even more. Patricia talked the breeder into turning her over to Serenity where she would no longer be forced to carry foals. Unfortunately, she never got to enjoy life as a pasture pet, which was our dream for her- her life was cut short by the dog attack.
Braveheart, her colt, is beautiful and TALL for his age. He is available for adoption through Serenity, he is a purebred Arabian.
