This darling poodle was one of Patricia's companions for years. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, she required daily shots and additional care that Patricia gave her with loads of love. Sasha lived a very long life and had the kind of home that so many dogs have to go without- she was a lucky girl. We will miss you, Sasha...

Some animals are permanant residents, rescue animals that Patricia has been able to keep. We consider them success stories, because they have regained health and a trust in humans but we do not count them in our "adoption' numbers...

Miss Piggy

SERR is for horses, but Patricia has had rescued potbellied pigs for many years. Miss Piggy was in a barn in the pitch dark, laying in her own waste- so fat that her belly dragged on the ground and she would not walk unless she was forced. Her little hooves were curled up from never being trimmed so when she did try to rise, she was walking on her ankles.

Today she roams the farm freely, chattering to herself in her cute pig language. She's very social and the horses all really love her.

Here is a video clip of Miss Piggy getting up in the morning, after her beauty rest. She was under her quilt, we called to her and out she comes- talking all the way... she is one cute little piggy!

The Dogs

Patricia has several rescue dogs. Meet Tanner (black) , Meesha (furry gray), and Max (schnauzer). They all help keep the farm safe and keep the horses company.
