Star is a beautiful bay mare who is broke to ride and would be an excellent jumper- she's competitive and athletic but very controllable. This is one of those horses that you'll never forget, she has so much to give. 

She's built nice with strong hooves and straight legs. She loves to run and is agile and athletic but not jumpy or dancy. She has a good mind.

One of our board members was bucked off when she attempted to get on Star a few months ago.  While mounting, she accidently kicked Star in the butt.  Since Star has never bucked before we think it was the result of using a western saddle and being surprised by the kick in the butt.  Star is back in an English saddle and has been doing fine. All of us at Serenity fell bad about Debbie's injury and are happy that she is mending nicely.

Star was a PEC rescue and has an overbite, commonly called 'parrot mouth'. With regular dental care (like all horses need) this will not affect her ability to be ridden at all, but sadly when we rescued her we found out that her name was Parrot because of this overbite, we felt so bad for her, you could just tell that she had never been told just  how beautiful she is- just look at her photos!!!
