SERENITY EQUINE RESCUE & REHABILITATION (SERR)

FEDERAL NON PROFIT AGENCY

EIN: 26-1817306

We are a rescue sanctuary program dedicated to animals, specializing in equine rescue, rehabilitation and adoption. SERR is located in Maple Valley, Washington, in King County. Patricia Clark chose the name Serenity Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation because of the serene environment at her property, and the methods she uses with the horses.

The lucky rescues at Serenity are provided with the best medical care and lots of attention. The turnaround we see in these horses is more than just looks- they become affectionate, outgoing equine companions. The rehabilitation is physical and emotional for a horse that has been neglected or abused.

Patricia has her Livestock Management Certificate from Western Washington University. Her coursework included nutrition, health evaluation, Henneke Body Condition Scoring System, common diseases/ailments and how to treat them. She also learned farm and pasture management manure management, water management, and how to manage the farm in an environmentally friendly manner.

Add that to her years of owning boarding facilities and her former work as a successful Arabian breeder, along with experience as a veterinary technician and you have a person not only dedicated to rescue, but educated in all aspects of running a succesful rescue farm. Our rescue is in good standing with all governing agencies and works closely with King County Animal Control to assist in cases of animal abuse and neglect and has provided evidence in several cases. We feel it is important to ensure that former abusers/neglecters do not continue to do so.

Come visit us and meet our rescues- we are sure you will find an equine companion who will be your next best horse. To donate, click the paypal icon or go to our donate page. We'd also love to share our success stories with you!

Serenity focuses our limited resources on cases of abuse and neglect.  We are unable to assist in the sale or re-homing of individual horses.  For tips on how to sell your horse, please click here.

We are a gated, secured facility with portions of the property under video or photo surveillance.

Please do not visit the farm without an appointment- for the safety and security of our horses and staff/volunteers, we have decided to discontinue Saturday Public Hours.

We appreciate your understanding. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please complete the pre-adoption form, send it to patricia@serenityequinerescue.com and we will contact you to make an appointment for a personal visit.

If you have donations to drop off or a group wanting to do a service project on the farm please contact our Outreach Coordinator at outreach@serenityequinerescue.com so we can schedule that with you.
